Heřmánkovice

The village of Heřmánkovice was founded before 1353 as part of the Břevnov Benedictine estate (the Benedictine Monastery in Broumov). It has been an independent municipality since 1849. 

Heřmánkovice used to include the settlement of Benešov, founded in 1836; it became part of Broumov in 1960. Janovičky, founded in 1753, has been part of Heřmánkovice since 1949. 

The dominant landmark in the village is the Roman Catholic All Saints Church, which is part of the Broumov Group of Churches. It stands on a low rise in the middle of the village. There is a historical Calvary below the church.
