The village of Hejtmánkovice was founded shortly after the Broumov region was settled in the 13th century - the first written record dates back to 1296. The Hejtmánkovice stream flows through the village. There are about thirty crosses by the roads and in the fields here. These are mostly simple, robust crosses, typical of the Broumov region. The most notable are the statues of St. John of Nepomuk and St. Wenceslas, on the bridge that leads into Broumov. In the "2014 Village of the Year" competition, Hejtmánkovice was awarded a blue ribbon for its social life.
