Set off on an unforgettable journey through the labyrinth of the Teplice Rocks and prepare yourself for a breathtaking encounter with wild nature at its finest. Right after entering the dramatic entrance gorge, you’ll feel the towering rock walls rise above you, almost embracing you, as the valley narrows into rugged gorges. Some of these had to be widened in the last century just to allow visitors to pass through. Once you emerge from this “medieval canyon,” a natural rock square opens up before you, followed by a more romantic view into the area known as Krakonoš's Garden, where you'll once again feel the warmth of the sun on your face. You’ll then walk beneath the monumental Temple Walls and through the deep gorges of an area called Siberia, where a cool chill lingers even on the hottest summer days. Along the way, you’ll encounter slender towers, overhangs, caves, and fascinating rock formations. One of the highlights of the trail is the ruins of Střmen Castle. Though the climb up the steep stairs might be a challenge, you’ll be rewarded with a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding rock formations and a deep connection to the region’s past, imagining the guards who once watched over the land from this very spot. The circular trail measures about six kilometers in total, is well-marked with blue tourist signs, and features fifteen educational panels where you can learn about the natural and historical wonders of the area. This hike will not only lead you into the heart of dramatic rock formations and refreshingly cool gorges, but it will also connect you with the geological and cultural heritage of the Broumov region. If you love adventure and nature’s beauty, the Teplice Rocks are a destination you absolutely shouldn’t miss.
