Adršpach Rocks

Visit one of the most beautiful and mysterious places in the Czech Republic, where adventure meets a fairytale of nature. Set out on a 3.5 km walk along the green-marked tourist circuit and get ready for an unforgettable journey through stunning sandstone towers, romantic lakes, and dramatic gorges. Your adventure begins at the famous Gothic Gate, which welcomes you into a rocky labyrinth that has captivated visitors since the 18th century. Walk through the Gothic archway, squeeze through the narrow Mouse Hole, and discover rock formations with poetic names such as the Sugar Loaf, the Jug, the Lovers, Elephant Square, or Krakonoš’s Couch. Take a stroll around the Azure Lake nestled in an old sandstone quarry, and don’t miss the romantic boat ride that lets you see the rocks from a whole new angle. Be sure to pause at the Great Waterfall, plunging sixteen meters down with a powerful roar, as you soak in the raw energy of nature surrounding you. You’ll walk across various surfaces like bridges, wooden walkways, and ladders, as you ascend to the viewpoint known as the Grand Panorama. From here, enjoy sweeping views of remarkable rock formations such as the Guillotine, the Medusa, the Crocodile, or the Watercress Gorge. Toward the end of the green trail, you’ll once again pass through the beloved narrow Mouse Hole and finish with a peaceful walk along a scenic path, basking in the sunshine and the views that accompany you all the way to the ruins of Adršpach Castle on the northern edge of the rock town. Visit the Adršpach-Teplice Rocks and take home an unforgettable experience - a maze of sandstone towers, mysterious gorges, and romance carved in stone.
