Route description

This moderately difficult route mostly follows quiet by-roads and trails through the forests and fields, with numerous views of the Policko Basin and the Broumov Basin. You start your trip in Police nad Metují, and follow the red markers on biking route No. 4000 through the villages of Suchý Důl and Hlavňov to Honské sedlo (Pasa). The local road takes you to the Pod Pasy bike trail intersection, with the rolling forest path running past Hubert's Chapel and the stone cross path to the hamlet of Amerika. Continue on towards the village of Martínkovice, and then from the top end of the village ride up under Koruna hill (route No. 4303). there, join the blue route No. 4001, which takes you to the Pod Božanovský Špičák signpost and the Pánův kříž cross. Follow the asphalt road along the ridge of the Broumov Walls as far as to Slavný, and then down to Suchý Dol and back to Police nad Metují. 

Route No. 4001 - Scenic route (32 km), blue trail markers 

The "Scenic Route" partly follows the same route and markers as the "Wall Circuit" biking route. However, it leads through more terrain, along forest trails and rocky paths in the Broumov Walls National Nature Reserve. Strict rules apply in the NNR, and it is prohibited to leave the marked route.
