Teplice nad Metují is the smallest town of the Náchod district and is situated in northernmost part. It is known in particular as a gateway to the Teplice Rocks – a unique rock town approximately 2 km from the centre of the municipality. An educational route is installed along the 6 km tourist path through the Teplice Rocks, which with its 15 panels acquaints visitors not only with anything they may see on the way, but takes them to the history of discovering the rocks or to the flora and fauna attractions.
Teplice nad Metují is a starting point for a number of tourist paths to many remarkable places located in the vicinity. It provides ideas for hiking and cycling (in addition to the above-mentioned rock town, the ruins of the castles Skály and Střmen, the Bischofstein castle – a restaurant today - the Cross of Conciliation on the Oak Hill and others) as well as for other sporting activities and holiday life. In the summer, a natural swimming pool serves visitors in the town itself. In the winter, tourist paths are available to lovers of the white race. The downhill skiers use the Kamenice slope. In addition to others, the marked republic cycling path No. 22 Olešnice v Orlických horách – Adršpach runs through Teplice.
