Cultural Monuments
Broumov Monastery
The Monastery ranks among national cultural monuments of the Czech Republic. Its current look is a result of a baroque reconstruction, predominantly in accordance with a project of K. I. Dientzenhofer (1726 – 48).
Centre of Broumov
The historical centre maintained, until now, the ground plan of a town of so-called Silesian type, with a regular network of streets. The square is dominated by a column dedicated to the Virgin Mary, made by J. Brokoff (1706).
Church monuments
A unique architectonic monument of the region is village baroque churches, built according to C. and K.I. Dienzenhofer. The wooden church in Broumov is the oldest wooden sacral building in Central Europe.
Folk architecture
In the Broumov region, the village architecture is represented by the classicist yard farmstead, so-called \"farmstead of the Broumov type”.
